Local Guide

Tallinn’s importance as a major centre of the Hanseatic League is still evident today in its exceptionally preserved medieval old town, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The architecture of the merchants’ houses, coupled with a variety of culture, museums & opulent churches, entertainment, great shops, restaurants & bars, means you can go back and forth in time as you explore this extraordinary town. Although Tallinn is enchanting in all seasons, winter is a particularly good time for a visit as the old town hosts the Christmas Market and Winter Festival, which are both held throughout December.
